As I sit here, the year drawing to a close, on my way to what will probably lead to more adventure I have an opportunity to look back over the year, the highlights, such as the multiple parties attended throughout the country for various things, as well as some of the lower points, almost being arrested then bluffing the police for him not to particularly believe our story. It’s been a good year. I’ve had some amazing times in some amazing places with some truly amazing people. From the roadtrips through Europe that I will write about in the new year (some of which has found it’s way online already) to parties beneath and above London.

There have been some less fun times including being chased from numerous rail depots, hiding in a puddle under a diesel loco at 3am from the British Transport Police when I could have been in bed, almost killing myself a handful of times, to menial shit like wasted time or opportunities. Such is the way these ventures often pan out, and you have to learn to take the rough with the smooth knowing that the good stuff like topping out a cathedral on a Saturday night as the city below you parties, wasting their week’s wages on cheap beer and cheap women, far outweighs the chases and the disappointment.

I’d like to thank those I’ve had the pleasure of sharing some of these experiences with this past year. It wouldn’t have been the same without you. Here’s to an incredible 2012.
